------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes according to these rules:

* You can give a driver either three, two or one point. (Or zero, which is default.)

* You can distribute no more than eight points (but less if you want to).

* You need to vote for at least two drivers.

If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the blacklist for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer) Also not arguing over somebody elses votes or again on the blacklist you go. Posts should be along the lines of:

...3 points: the driver/s you think did the best job during the weekend
...2 points: the next best ones
...1 point: the ones after that

Make it clear which Schumacher you mean, and which driver is Top Drive. Don't use the abbreviation JV, as it can mean both Jacques Villeneuve and Jos Verstappen. Also be clear about Ralf Schumacher and Ralph Firman.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then in reversed race result order.

Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship blacklist can still participate in Rate the race.

Seldom seen a race with so many point-worthy performances
Tough choice.

Rubens Barrichello 3 - fantastic
Cristiano Da Matta 2 - flawless
JP Montoya 1 - great charge
Jenson Button 1 - excellent recovery
David Coulthard 1 - for his late pass on Trulli

Quality: 9 !

Drivers -
Rubens 3 (Nearly flawless drive and second qualifying, friday a bit of a boo boo)
JPM 3 (Started 7th, stuck behind teammate in the pits and yet finished right behind Rubens)
Kimi 1 (Desperatly trying to catch MS in the WDC race seems to give him the incentive to squeeze every little drop out of the aging MP4/17D. Yet one feels he should have won the race having a 10 second gap to Rubens in the middle of the race)

It was really a exciting GP - granted, part of the thrill was artificially created by a, to quote Montoya, "#$%¨& idiot". It was a race where the three main contenders failled to show much, letting space for everybody else to shine.
Let's see:

3 points to Barrichello. Pole. Victory and, wow, during the race I thought I was watching Nigel Mansell on his very prime. A fantastic performance.

2 points Go to Jarno Trulli. Greta qualifying and, wow, what battles durnig the race; in football, it's very rare to admire a goalkeeper, because everybody wants to see a goal. Only the best gain the aplause from the crowd; likewise, in F-1, it's very hard to admire who block overtakings. but Trulli fought bravelly today and showed that cheering-deserving performance.

Now the 1 point gang. First, Da Matta. What a race, Cristiano. Due to pits, any driver can lead a lap; but few can keep the lead with an inferior ecquipment. Plus, his qualifying was great
And a point to Coulthard. Like Rubens, his race was the best answer to critics. And this is also truth to the last one to receive a point,
Juan Pablo Montoya, back on the c'ship, back to stay ahead of his teamate, and made a race coming from bahind to finish in a good position (what is also true to DC)

Quality of the race: 8,despite of the @#$%¨**** on a miniskirt (come on, that thing was not a kilt)
Satisfaction: another 8

2 points Rubens Barrichello ( would be three but a lot of credit is being dished out in this post)

1 points Juan Pablo Montoya unlike certain others he got throught the firman traffic jam and that led to a fine second.
1 point Da Matta - well led robbed of a higher position by team not thinking storming qualifying
1 point Coulthard - see above on team not thinking nice overtaking in front of me too
1 point Button - stormer, passed JV on the track ( in front of us ) in fact passed more than anyone really
1 point Firman - you can't hold off Jaguars Renaults BARS Williamses Ferraris in a Jordan ! oh wait you can :D ( ok Michael got him quick but it took everyone else an age.
1 point Trulli - for the Qualifying lap.

Race 10 christ we saw at least 17 or 18 overtaking moves and we couldn't see half the track :D Dc passed Firman, Frentzen, one of the minardis, da matta and Trulli in front of me. Montoya passed heaps, Barrichello passed ralf and kimi twice. Kimi got a few, ralf erm even he passed a sauber - might have been lapping Heidfeld though, Michael and Alonso had one of the greatest little battles ever into club ( shame the cameras missed it apparently) the world had gone mad ! Kimi Ralf and JPM all went off on that oil btw. Pizzonias pass on Webber jees what a move! must have known it was his last race ( unfairly I think) there was more button was picking everyone off - superb!

Result umm 5
