I post this thread one week early since I'll be on holidays for the next week and a bit more. Just ignore this thread until AFTER the GP has been run; I'll ignore votes that are cast before the race finish.
------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes according to these rules:

* You can give a driver either three, two or one point. (Or zero, which is default.)

* You can distribute no more than eight points (but less if you want to).

* You need to vote for at least two drivers.

If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the blacklist for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer) Also not arguing over somebody elses votes or again on the blacklist you go. Posts should be along the lines of:

...3 points: the driver/s you think did the best job during the weekend
...2 points: the next best ones
...1 point: the ones after that

Make it clear which Schumacher you mean, and which driver is Top Drive. Don't use the abbreviation JV, as it can mean both Jacques Villeneuve and Jos Verstappen. Also be clear about Ralf Schumacher and Ralph Firman.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then in reversed race result order.

Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship blacklist can still participate in Rate the race.

Schumy 72; Juan Pablo, 71; Kimi, 70. If you have a heart condition, you may consider skipping the 3 last GP's of the year. Since I can't vote for Bibendum (1 to 7 by Michelin), let's see:

3 points to Who else, Fernando Alonso, for Sure. Since the beggining of the year Renault was chasing this victory and it comes to the young Spanish right when his teammate was consistentelly performing better. A deserved victory for a good driver and a great car. What can't be said to
Mark Webber, who performed very well during all the weekend with the only Ford Cosworth engine that does not went kaput

just 1 point to the iceman Raikkonen, who drove like an experienced driver: conservative, without making mistakes and now is alive and kicking for the c'ship.
And also a single point to Montoya. During the weekend, JPM reminded me of Mansell. Amazing daring moves. ompossible speed and... rookie mistakes. Thanks for bringing emotion and fun to F-1, Juan Pablo

Quality: 4 - what, considering is Hungaroring, is a huge improvement
Satisfaction: For everything Alonso victory means, for the tighest c'ship in decades... 8

Alonso 3 points (more if I could) the boy rocked the place all weekend & lapped MS, lets just say that again Lapped MS

RS 2 points despite the spin(or because of) he gave us a great show

JPM 2 points did what he needed to do

Kimi gets 2, for a solid & determined drive

Webber 1 point bloody good go in the jag when 75% of Cosworth engines blew

DC 1 point salvaged his racing reputation a bit

Jaques 1 point he was on it (ok he was a pussy when RS passed him) but apart from that great until the car let go.

Quality 8

Satis 10 FA wins including lapping MS (did I mention that?) & the WDC gets drawn tighter.

Webber 3 (in that car his qualifying was great and defensive driving v.good and he beat MS)
Ralf Schumacher 2 (he screwed up but then proved repeatedly that it really is possible to overtake on the new corner, overtook his brother and caught up with teammate)
Alonso 1 (he did win but with major assistance from Weber)
Zolt 1 (he kept it on the track until it died with extremely little notice of the drive or much practice).
