The best session guesses: TT6 was 0.547s out on Friday, Bjorn was 0.004s out on Saturday and scheivlak was 0.007s out on Sunday. The Friday times did the damage for pretty much everyone...
Onto the overall standings...with one round to go, we have a situation similar to the real championship...a clear leader who is close to wrapping up the title, with a couple of challengers still with a chance of winning. The overall standings:
Pos. Competitor +/- Score 8th No 1st scheivlak = 1.459 2.127 15 2nd Makarias +2 1.647 2.609 15 3rd Bjorn -1 1.674 2.666 14 4th CaptnMark +4 1.716 2.524 15 5th skylark68 +4 1.772 2.389 15 6th thegreatone = 1.790 2.738 14 7th arcsine -4 1.812 2.458 15 8th garth_b -3 1.905 2.378 15 9th Estwald -2 1.918 2.735 15 10th race addicted +1 1.945 3.564 15 11th jun +2 1.987 3.388 15 12th Pascal +2 1.999 4.176 14 13th Viss1 -3 2.009 3.043 15 14th DeathMasteR -2 2.012 2.714 14 15th LB +3 2.016 4.566 15 16th=Apex = 2.069 3.382 14 TT6 +6 2.069 3.874 12 18th lukywill -3 2.121 3.435 15 19th 130R +1 2.185 3.743 14 20th WillieF1 -1 2.227 4.018 15 21st Jimmino -4 2.231 3.224 15 22nd d_view7 +2 2.602 4.575 12 23rd Schuting Star -2 2.683 4.599 12 24th QdfV -1 2.766 5.637 12 25th Ric Bol +1 2.868 4.319 15 26th KWSN - DSM +2 3.032 7.000 15 27th The RedBaron -2 3.251 6.871 10 28th Pioneer -1 3.726 9.042 10scheivlak still leads, and must be the favourite to win overall. Those still with a chance:
assuming no improvement by scheivlak next round, Makarias (2nd) would need a score of 1.105 to win,
Bjorn (3rd) would need 0.950,
CaptnMark (4th) would need 0.470,
skylark68 (5th) cannot win,
thegreatone (6th) would need 0.093,
and LB (15th) is the only other competitor who could still mathematically win, with 0.113. This is due to the large 8th best score.
The key fact to remember when calculating the improvements at this point is that to drop the overall score by 0.1, the improvement in a single round score must be 0.8. If scheivlak scores better than 2.127 next round, then the targets for all the others to win would change by the amount scheivlak improves.
OK, look out for the post for Japan, which should be up soon.
