------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes according to these rules:

* You can give a driver either three, two or one point. (Or zero, which is default.)

* You can distribute no more than eight points (but less if you want to).

* You need to vote for at least two drivers.

If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the blacklist for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer) Also not arguing over somebody elses votes or again on the blacklist you go. Posts should be along the lines of:

...3 points: the driver/s you think did the best job during the weekend
...2 points: the next best ones
...1 point: the ones after that

Make it clear which Schumacher you mean, and which driver is Top Drive. Don't use the abbreviation JV, as it can mean both Jacques Villeneuve and Jos Verstappen. Also be clear about Ralf Schumacher and Ralph Firman.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then in reversed race result order.

Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship blacklist can still participate in Rate the race.

After the thrill festival Indy was, suzuka is a bit f disapointment. None of the five main characters of the year showed their colours. Monty, engine failure. Alonso, same thing, with a child-ish personal explosion to top. Raikkonen, not in a single moment tried an attack. Schumy, a rookie mistake over Sato (where's the drive-thru, FIA?). Ralf, mistake over mistake over mistake all the weekend. But some people did shined:

3 points to Rubens Barrichello, a memorable weekend. Pole, win, and absolute control of the race. a flawless performance that gave Ferrari the WCC adn will shut up some of his critics.

2 points Cristiano da Matta. Fast on Saturday, on sunday he battled much more experienced drivers and stayed ahead. Great display of skills and clean fights. the 3-stop tatic was not the right one, but da Matta made the best of it. Clearly deserves his place on F-1.

One-point gang We see a driver show lots of skill at qualys and Sunday. In fact, thanks to the %¨&* japanese TV, that's practically the only thing we saw. Nevertheless, a solid drive by Takuma Sato.

In a somehow more conservative drive he is used to, Jarno Trulli showed a lot under pression and gave Renault some important result. And finally:

Coulthard. Clearly faster than raikkonen the whole weekend, followed his role and helped KR. But could he race, was the performance enought to catch Barrichello? Personally, I think so, it would provide some interesting fight. Nevertheless, a great display from the Scottish. Maybe next year... :p

Quality: a dissapointing 5, for everything that was on stake.
Satisfaction: also no bigger than 7. Da Matta, specially, deserved a better finishing position.

Even though we missed a truly championship worthy performance by the contenders, still a very exciting race!

Rubens Barrichello 3 points
Takuma Sato 2
Jenson Button 1
David Coulthard 1
Juan Pablo Montoya 1

Montoya 3 (Missed Friday's practice but seemed the fastest man on track after that until the hydraulics failed, brilliant overtaking move on Rubens.)
Barrichello 2 (Very good race and qualifying performance but a sloppy few first laps and looked confused in practice, opting for Schumacher's setup)
Coulthard 1 (Good to see him back in competitive form)
Button 1 (Has developed into a fast mature driver. Is this the same man who was obliterated by Fisichella in 2001?)
Da Matta 1

Kimi Raikkonen and Michael Schumacher both had a race weekend to forget. Ralf returned to his old bumbling ways.

Please don't!! At least not in this one, I fear it will lead to (more) mind games.
Just an assessment of driver's quality please. :)
