Maybe slightly OT, but does anyone know the story behind the snake/scorpion used on the later Brabhams? ...As on the pictured BT-59.
Thanks!

Researching Brabham's Redex Special on the net, I found a photo showing the parked car in Doug's book (p36), taken at the Katoomba circuit with Brabham's son Geoff at the wheel.

An original snap taken at the same event, with the car almost in the same parked position and Geoff at the wheel also, turned up in a batch of photos recently. I've added it in here in case it's of interest:

rgds, RJ.

I think I have just worked out the location of the photo and it just surprised the heck out of me...

Great find Michael.

At that time they were trying to raise £7500 by subscription to build a circuit at Katoomba. So having Jack's car present would help promote that.
