Joseph was reportedly cheated out of his share of the Revlon business by his brother Charles who Helena Rubinstein or one of the perfume ladies who referred to him as "That Man". So Charles named a perfume "That Man" and it was a huge success.

The fourth founder of Revlon was a chemist, Charles Lachman. He's the "L" in Revlon. He was also the 1st that Charles "bought out", then came Joseph and finally Peter's father Martin.

Leon Mandel claimed that Peter dated Majorie Wallace as a decoy to cover up an affair he was having with prominant but married New Yorker.

This is exactly the same for me, this song by Terry Jacks came on the radio just after I heard about Revson's death and to this day I think of him each time I hear it.

What was the cause of Revson's accident, and did he die instantly?

My apologies..........I hadn't watched the clip to its end, assuming that it was as titled, "Peter Revson - An American Racing Hero" tribute. After the comments posted here, I returned and watched it in its entirety. They could have left out the last few photos.

Friends:

Over the years the book has become a bit of a collector's item. In fact, Leon Mandel once asked us to find him any copies we could and just send them along. We gladly did so. Leon was a fine writer and editor as well as a an excellent storyteller. We can all be glad that he took on the project of writing the book.

I'll be holding onto my copy as it's the only tangible link I have to this great American racing hero.

As well I. I picked up my copy on ebay a few years ago. Only paid ten bucks as I remember.

Thanks, Peter. Still sad, I wandered around my 8th Grade school halls aimlessly for weeks.
