Next Europe GP will be raced on Nordschleife rather than on GP circuit?Originally posted by D-Type
I believe they have John Surtees and Jackie Ickx on hand to show the youngsters how to drive a real circuit.

Guido

It would be an interesting challenge: combined Nordschleife + GP circuit now is 25947 m long (according to Racingcircuits.net), while last Nordschleife used by F.1 was 22834 m long, 3113 m shorter.Originally posted by KWSN - DSM
Where can I find the times?? Guess that Michael Schumacher have taken the all-time record away from Lauda then??
;)
Moreover, I think Lauda knew better than Schumacher how to drive on that track.

Guido

Yes but the speeds today are so much higher, and Michael Schumacher excell in learning new tracks.

>>By the way... in fact I have lost a bet last year I have to walk a lap around the old Nürburgring Nordschleife on April 24th 2004.
>>We start at 9:30 am in front of the >Hotel zur Burg< in Nürburg.
Now this sounds like a very enjoyable way to lose a bet. I reckon that the Nordschleife is just about one day of walking at a reasonable pace.
What did you get if you won the bet?
Edward.
