Never seen it either. It looks pretty complete at first glance. And it features the car that made me hooked to motorracing when I got hold of a 1990 season preview and saw a picture of
My favourite

Aren't these the illustrations from Pierre Menard's "Great Encyclopaedia of F1"?

Yes, they are, but there are some that aren't included in the book, at least not the first edition that I have. It's an amazing body of work that the artist has. I just can't remember who the artist is since his signatures have been removed. :

Two very nice sites but I'm afraid, both are lacking in at least one small area of F1 history.

There's a signature on one of the Vanwall pictures on the f1-legend site - it looks like P Miend

...but to make up for the omission, here is an illustration from Road & Track magazine, circa 1972.

I must apologise to whoever it was sent it to me years ago - I have forgotten who 'twas.

STRANGE GOINGS ON - THE ABOVE SHOULD OPEN AS AN IMAGE. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY IT DOESN'T!

The 1956 Bugatti is one obvious omission...
