Comments:
An easy(ish) round again, except for Quick Nick outqualifying Not So Quick Christian, Sauber handily outracing McLaren and Jaguar beating Toyota in the battle of the backmarkers (well, after the Minardis and Jordans eliminated themselves from the race anyway).
Moving on to the results. Hmm, I wonder if this is a sign of something, but we had two new players and they’re both in top 4: maxie wins (albeit narrowly) and paulogman is fourth, ever so slightly behind old hands Pioneer and 130R who tie in second place. Overall, constructing the results table was a bit of a surreal experience with lots of ”new” names at the sharp end and some rather spectacular nosedives from the current top dogs. That said, this was a very close round altogether.

For reference, the average score was 8.38 (second highest so far) which would’ve been good enough for the 21st place. The popular guess 1X1 12X 1X1 12X would’ve been worth 8.36 points and that same 21st place.
And off to the championship standings after round 5/18. Since it was a close round results-wise, nothing much happens in the grander scheme of things. dnbn still retains his lead but Makarias moves in for the kill and is now just 3.75 points behind. ron climbs 5 places back to top 3. Overall the gaps are really small.
