It's time for the F1 circus to hit the streets of Monaco, the picturesque principality being the setting for the most prestigious GP of them all. Who'll win this year's race? Is there any chance that the first car to meet the checquered flag won't be red? Who'll be the first to wrap his car around a barrier? Will the others follow suit? Who'll be the moving roadblock this time? Who's Prince Albert's current squeeze? If given the choice between an actual on-track overtaking move (a longshot, really) or a close-up of some topless babe sunbathing on the deck of a private yacht, which one will the TV director choose? And what's wrong with him - there's a "race" going on, for God's sake? Also, how many representatives of the glitterati can you fit in a pre-race show? And why exactly would you want to do that?
I'm sure we're all just dying to find out but, in the meantime, let's warm up with a game of F1 Pools. Here are the picks for round 6:
Qualifying duels: Race duels: 1 Ferrari - Williams 7 Ferrari - Williams 2 McLaren - Renault 8 McLaren - Renault 3 BAR - Sauber 9 BAR - Sauber 4 Jaguar - Toyota 10 Jaguar - Toyota 5 Jordan - Minardi 11 Jordan - Minardi 6 Renault - BAR 12 Renault - BAR
Rules. (Same as before; I haven't changed anything just for the heck of it!)
Deadline: anything that's posted and/or edited before qualifying (and in my vocabulary, that includes the relatively useless activity the FIA likes to call pre-qualifying) is OK.
The preferred format for your quesses is 122 XXX 12X XX1 but, basically, if it's understandable, it's OK.
Be clever - no one's ever in the 5 rounds long history of this game recorded a perfect 12 correct result, so you - yes, you! - could be the one to steal that particular honor and earn the eternal bragging rights that go with it.
Good luck! And have fun!
