------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes according to these rules:

* You can give a driver either three, two or one point. (Or zero, which is default.)

* You can distribute no more than eight points (but less if you want to).

* You need to vote for at least two drivers.

If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the blacklist for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer) Also not arguing over somebody elses votes or again on the blacklist you go. Posts should be along the lines of:

...3 points: the driver/s you think did the best job during the weekend
...2 points: the next best ones
...1 point: the ones after that

Make it clear which Schumacher you mean, and which driver is Top Drive. Don't use the abbreviation JV, as it can mean both Jacques Villeneuve and Jos Verstappen. Also be clear about Ralf Schumacher and Ralph Firman.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then in reversed race result order.

Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship blacklist can still participate in Rate the race.

Eight points is not enough for this race. So, first, apologies to those I'll let out: Alonso, who had a great weekend, but was hurt by a silly accident and showed to be some kilometers short of sportive spirit after that. I also would like to give some points to Heidfeld, because Jordan deserves it; great race, Nick, nevertheless. Sato, too, what a start totady, Takuma!Ok, now the points go to:

3 points to Jarno "what's that on my hair" Trulli. It's always nice to see a new driver win. It's even nicier when it happens to someone who really deserves it, like Jarno. The italian was perfect the whole weekend. but a thrilling perfection, with emotion, with breathing on hold, like we saw on Renault pit: say whatever you say about him, but Briatore, as a team manager, delievers results. Even more with a talented driver like Jarno. Nobody said much about him, but Trulli is gaining the status of first driver and best italian on F-1 with results and competence.

2 points to Button. A warrior. A true fighter. 10 laps, 5 laps, two laps to the end, in monaco, and he never gave up. That's the fighting spirit of Formula One, that courage and atitude we want to see. Plus, he showed us a great qualy.

1 point gang It's too bad the TV didn't show it, but da Matta had a busy race, fighting all the time. And, tried to overtake on the last lap of Monaco, finishing only half a car behind of
Felipe Massa, who had a solid race after a weak saturday. Thanks to him, Sauber is ahead of McLaren in the c'ship. I'll repeat that: Sauber is ahead of McLaren! Who would know?and finally,
JP Montoya receives a point, too, despite almost ruining his race at the tunnel: in a weekend full of problems to the team, the colombian sure take more of the car of Frank Williams than it could give. Great result for him, but, in the end, something to make Frank and the boys worry.

Quality: 8. Just like Malaysia, a real race
Satisfaction: another 8. Yay, Trully! Yay, Jordan! Yay, Massa!

Jarno Trulli 3 - brilliant Q, followed by the best race of his life at the right moment
Jenson Button 2 - kept pushing
Fernando Alonso 2 - I blame Ralf
Michael Schumacher 1 - +2 for his race pace (string of fastest laps), -1 for the tunnel crash, where I think he's partly to blame

ah, nearly forgot  :

3 Points - Jarno Trulli
2 Points - Jenson Button
1 Point - Felipe Massa

Can I give negative points, by the way?
-3 to JPM
-2 to Alonso
-1 to Sato

Quality - 7, dramatic race; remind of Monaco 1996.
Satisfaction - 4, nice to see Jarno Trulli made his career breakthrough, sad to see Michael pull out due to the unnecessary incident involved with a safety car (duh), himself and JPM.
