I'm posting this thread early because I'll be absent/offline/happy for a week. Don't vote before the race is over!

------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes according to these rules:

* You can give a driver either three, two or one point. (Or zero, which is default.)

* You can distribute no more than eight points (but less if you want to).

* You need to vote for at least two drivers.

If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the blacklist for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer) Also not arguing over somebody elses votes or again on the blacklist you go. Posts should be along the lines of:

...3 points: the driver/s you think did the best job during the weekend
...2 points: the next best ones
...1 point: the ones after that

Make it clear which Schumacher brother you mean. Don't use the abbreviation JV, as it can mean both Jacques Villeneuve and Jos Verstappen, and neither one of them is driving right now anyway.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then in reversed race result order.

Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship blacklist can still participate in Rate the race.

a great race, with fightings on the first positions, Sato giving his show (with the traditional fireworks, too, and lots of people deserving points (edited due to Williams and Toyota issue):

2 points to the leader of the C'ship showed why he's on the position. Nothing special on saturday, but on sunday Michael Schumacher shined. Fast when he needed, supported very well the pression of Montoya and Barrichello. A victory a bit more difficult, in with Michael figheted most of race. A deserved 10 points.
And to Rubens Barrichello. Other result that, hopefully, will do great to the motivation of the driver. By the first time this year, he was on pace of his teamate the whole weekend. Flawless race, and what do you know? Managed to make an overtake on track. Great race for the brazilian

One point to Two-stop wonder Giancarlo Fisichella. Great control of the race, giving more points to Sauber, and finishing ahead of Raikkonen. Pity, however, Sauber just discovered such strategy when the qualify rules are about to change. Nevertheless, solid drive.
Gilles Villeneuve is not an easy track. during all the weekend we saw lots of drivers making mistakes, spinning, cathing grass. And Timo Glock, without knowing the track, his first race on F-1, managed to end the race, and end it well. So, the newest german on F-1gains a point, too
Also, one point to Ralf schumacher. A great performance. Not only good for the team, but also great for the driver, who was being overly criticized the whole year. This podium and the great saturday will probably give Ralf a bit more of motivation. I was going to give him two póints, but, since his car was not exactly legal, it's just one for mr. Ralf. It was not his fault, he still managed to do well, but rules are rules
The good thing is, since i took out a point from Ralf, i can give it to Raikkonen, a race full of accidents, and he still manages to do well. roll in the 19B

Quality: a good 7. Fights, surprises, overtakes, lots of thrills
Satisfaction: 8. It's hard, pehaps unfair, to say a victory is not deserved. But some are more than others. This time, we saw Michael fighting, defending himself, with lots of guts, a show that we didn't saw this year, yet.

2 points - Ralf (strong race)
2 points - Kimi (points after pathetic penalty and car trouble)
2 points - M Schu (solid in best car)
1 point Button (strong but not spectacular)
1 point Alonso (would love to give him more - he was heading for a top 3 pos)

Satisifaction - 4 (disqualifications, fairly boring and dissapointing overall)

Quality - 4 (sadly Montreal races arent as good as they used to be in the 90s)

1p - M Schumacher (oops, he did it again)
1p - R Barrichello (almost he did it as well)
1p - R Schumacher (pole and second position in race - sorry for disqualification. Team fault)
1p - K Räikkönen (despite unluck with steeringwheel and stupid penalty by crossing the white line, he drove well with downtuned Mercedes engine)
1p - D Coulthard (drove second Mac at finishline. Unusual for Mack in season 2004)
1p - T Glock (Rookie. First F1 GP. First points. Showed why Heidfeld didn't go at McLaren)
1p - R Klien (I liked his driving :) )
1p - T Sato (although bad performance in race due statistics, I like his way to handle car after spins)
