Guys, I'll only be there half of the meeting, unfortunately. I've got another apointment that I can't miss. So I'm afraid I'll have to leave at about 13.30, 13.40. :

The first DutchTNF meeting was a success; smalltalk on al kinds of subjects.

This is the whole bunch - you'll recognize the picture above us, I guess.

I've managed to remember all the names :p
Top row, from left to right: Arjan de Roos, Henk Vasmel, Louis Spaanderman, Mischa Bijenhof, Ed Heuvink (writer of "Scuderia Filipinetti"), Henri Greuter, René de Boer (chairman), Lustigson, Racer.Demon;
Kneeling: Yours truly and Mat1
Paul Hooft and Rob Wiedenhoff were unfortunately not able to make it.

Thanks again to René for organizing this all; it is most likely that we meet again in february or march.

I really loved to be there, but could not make it at twelve,
in fact I was having a coffee at eleven at Motel Maarsbergen
but could not stay until twelve..
Due to very serious back problems with the lady I had with me...
Sure plan to be there the next time...

Did Henri Greuter find the Miller book I left for him at the reception this morning ???
kindest regards
Paul

Cheers guys!

Immensely enjoyed it myself too.

After our meet-up Mischa and I went to the Maarsbergen estate to visit the Beaufort family grave. It was an enjoyable walk across the grounds and we finally ended up where we wanted to be. We were lucky to be blessed by a marvellous autumn sun...

Well done guys...

Unless I've misunderstood previous information, yours was the largest-ever TNF gathering!

I'll try to be at the next one...

Now to the important question; can I get really good vleeskroketten via mail order?

An excellent looking gathering ...but in the spirit of TNF accuracy, I suggest that the TNF Chinese banquet at the 2003 Goodwood Revival was larger. Racer.Demon was there and might confirm....

Definitely larger, David. There were ten at our table alone, IIRC! I think the final figure was nineteen .... with representation from the Netherlands, USA, New Zealand, Spain and the UK (plus Wales!)

Thanks to everyone who was there, it was quite enjoyable indeed.

Thanks to Frank for the picture

Thanks to Mattijs for his nice gallery of pictures made at Maarsbergen, I especially like the ones with the rays of sunshine.

Here is to many more Dutch TNF gatherings in the future,

2nd person on picture, next to Arjan de Roos, is me, Henk Vasmel.
How do you exactly add a picture to a reply, I tried, but could not find out how, and have a few pictures here to post still.

Thanks for a great meeting, let's hope for ever more successful follow-ups.

Henk, you can't add a picture to a post; it should be on the internet somewhere. Perhaps you have webspace of your own, otherwise there's an easy way here
I've added your name.

Also from Louis Spaanderman (Third from the left).

Thanks Rene for the spledid organisation! Next time we hope to join again.

Brun, hopefully, there are more Dutch meetings to come, so don't worry. Next time, I will bring my quattro, BTW.

Rene, give that BX 4TC another thought. Found out today that most of them are scrapped and that only some 30 or thereabout are still existing nowadays!

Hello guys! An enjoyable meeting last weekend. Thanks for the free coffee

Mattijs, thanks for the pictures. I hope to see a lot more photo's of Carel in the book that will be presented this coming weekend. I'll be there to get my signed copy from the author! I made some pics of Carel's car in Raamsdonksveer where it is on display now. How do I publish them, if anyone is interested anyway?

About a new venue, we briefly discussed the fact that there are quite some Spyker cars in the Raamsdonkveer Car Museum (Louwman collection or Nationaal Automobiel Museum). We can meet there, cant we? (also close to the Belgium border!)

This collection also includes one of the two Porsche 718 F2 cars of De Beaufort. Mind you, R'veer is quite near for us Dutchies than Donnington!

http://www.louwmancollection.nl

...Maybe a third meeting in Donnington then :p ...

It's a pity I missed the announcement for the Dutch TNF meeting......
In any case I was racing a 3 hr race at Paul Ricard so I couldn't have been there, but I'll try next time.
Maybe Ed Heuvink or Rene de Boer can warn me in advance.

Badge #22 was present and accounted for, but I think I was the only Dutch member actually owning one... (Cue Barry for confirmation.)

Consulting my badge records, I find that there are but 2 Dutch badge holders; apart from R.D, Brun is the only other one.

I sent details of how to obtain one to Rene de Boer but he never came back to me.

I would say it is about time for another Dutch meeting!

So, may I suggest:

Date: Saturday, March 12
Time: 12.00 noon
Place: Motel Maarsbergen

As promised, I will bring my Audi quattro, suitable in the year of its 25th anniversary.

Please answer here if you are willing and able to attend!

Looking forward to seeing many of you there,

Can you bring me in contact with Rob Wiedenhoff?

We'll discuss the venue at the forthcoming meeting.

Rob Wiedenhoff has promised to be there as well on March 12, so you can meet him, if you want!

Unfortunately I cannot come due to work :(

Hopefully next time.

A good Dutch racing venue around Eindhoven? Maybe Toine Hezemans living room??

But seriously Eindhoven: DAF museum (F3, Dakar) is an option.

Have fun!

I'm afraid I will not be able to make it on march 12th.

I have to take care of my little daughter, and I don't have the impression she is fascinated yet by old racing cars, etc.

So maybe next time?
