Can anyone shed some light on the colors of the liveries of the following 1970 season European F5000 cars? For a GPL project.

Mike Walker (#4 McLaren M10-Chev)
Howden Ganley (#12 McLaren M10-Chev)
Alan Rollinson (#70 Surtees TS5-Chev)
Graham McRae (#2 McLaren M10-Chev) (I'm guessing black, as the Tasman car, but the wings appear light in the b/w photos)
Roy Pike

Thanks for any help.

I've just put the VHS tape on. There is some short colour footage from Brands on the video 'Motor Racing 70s style' 1970/71. Available from PP video and good motorsport Book/video stockists.
I've put colours I can work out below next to the cars:

Mike Walker (#4 McLaren M10-Chev)
Mid green colour. Silver wings, silver full face crash helmet.

Howden Ganley (#12 McLaren M10-Chev)
British Racing green with silver stripe, yellow front wings, silver back wing. White open face crash helmet.

Alan Rollinson (#70 Surtees TS5-Chev)
Says red in the programme, Brands Aug 31st. Not seen on the tape.
Alan had yellow crash helmet.

Graham McRae (#2 McLaren M10-Chev) (I'm guessing black, as the Tasman car, but the wings appear light in the b/w photos)
Black. Silver aluminium wings. Crowne Lynn on car side in gold lettering. White full face helmet.

Roy Pike
Says orange in the programme. M. F. Bridgland entered Leda LT20.
However Thruxton programme Aug 9th states colour blue/white which were usual Leda colours.

Excellent!

That jives with what I can discern from the b/w photos in Wolfgang Klopfer's book on F5000 in Europe. That videotape sounds intriguing--I'll have to look for that.

Thanks so much!

That would have been "Crown Lynn"

Alan Rolinson #70 Lotus Chevrolet 70-purple & white. Leda #11 driven by Roy Pike was previously raced by Mac Daghorn in aluminium. Unfortunately I stopped keeping records of each race in detail about june that year. Must dig out box of old photos.
