Are Alberto Ascari and Paul Hawkins in an elite club of two or did other cars and drivers go for a dip at Monaco?

I presume you took the pics, David, so can you explain what was going on here? Was the little white van at the start of the sequence originally on the flatbed lorry? And what salvaged the crane - did it actually go in the harbour?!

But this time the last photo has been photoshopped to make it look like the bigger crane has fallen in!

That last picture looks like a fake though.

Twinny, These photos have been doing the rounds of the net for about two months. A crane truck was lifting a car out of the water and it fell in! They get a bigger crane truck to pick up the mess.

Yes, I can see the last one's been fiddled with now you mention it.
Where & when did this happen?

You guys are smarter than I am
Twinny: I don't know where it took place; at first I thought Nova Scotia or Newfoundland but then i thought Scotland or the West Country-I dunno.
I will contact the person who sent me the photos and see if he knows who modified it.

Somebody sent me this via Lycos recently - it said it was somewhere in Ireland...
(And absolutely no comment from me).

I do remember being there about fifteen years ago when a chance encounter in the pub between a lobster (just caught) and a Jack Russell terrier ended in victory for the lobster.......
