But will Atlas make more $$$ from it?
Congratulations on the deal.

The Atlas Streets will run red with Rivers of Blood!
You have been warned!
CIVIL WAR!!!!!!!
Seriously though, providing a more comprehensive service with the best of both worlds is fantastic!
Good on both sides.

Congrats, I hope. Does this mean we have to suffer through Nigel Roebuck columns now?
On the plus side, more pics and Piola drawings?!?!

Posted 05 January 2005 - 17:22
All in all, I wish all best to the new service!
P.S: The fact that this will be led by bira speaks volumes about both her own qualities and Atlas' journalistic level as a whole.

I, too, will be looking forward to Nigel Roebuck columns, as well as the better coverage of other motorsports.
I used to check Autosport everyday until they went subsciption, then it was just Atlas as it was much better.

Furthermore, the Atlas F1 subscribers will also gain the full additional content of the Autosport.com service. This includes extensive coverage of WRC, IRL, CART, NASCAR, DTM and all the best from the world of motor sport...
Fantastic. Hope it all goes well.

Congrats Atlas, you are doing an excellent job!

It's rather an admission from Haymarket that their own subcription site wasn't working out, but then again they were up against Atlas!
Congrats all round on a major coup - the new site should be unquestionably the best there is.

Nigel works only for people who also are avid british football fans.
Good news in general though i'am afraid of the british perspective of content in the future. Atlas was pretty neutral up to now.
Cheers,

To Bira, and all the AtlasF1 staff, what can I say but thanks for your un-ending efforts to move AtlasF1 forward. I confess when Atlas first became subscription based I was a little bit concerned about whether I'd feel I was getting value 1 or 2 years down the road, but by continuing to offer greater and greater consumer value, you have managed to blow those concerns utterly and completely into the weeds.
Well done.
Dave

You've obviously read some stuff by Roebuck that I've missed. I think he's one of the very best F1 journalists around. And I sure ain't an avid British football fan.

I've never subscribed to Autosport, though I've been tempted from time to time. This merger looks like good news.
As an original Atlas F1 subscriber since it first went to subscription, last year I was given the option to pay early and avoid any further price increases ever. I took this option - looks like the gamble may have paid off since I should now get fixed-price access to Autosport too ...

Well all I can say is I love AtlasF1, it honestly is the only place I go for F1 news, outside of one other Italian source, but even that site doesn't come even close to the overall news, columns, photos, statistics, and overall coverage of F1. I maybe visited Autosport's website 2-3 times maybe years ago and didn't think much of them, but if it helps improve AtlasF1 even the slightest, I will be very happy.
Everyone knows AtlasF1 is the place to go for up-to-date news on anything concerning the F1 community!
Great job to the entire AtlasF1 staff for continuing to improve an already great site!

Please note: you will not need to pay any additional money to enjoy this new service. Furthermore, if your subscription renews automatically ('automatic billing'), your subscription rate will remain the same in the future as well (provided it hasn't been cancelled).

Let's look at it.
Atlasf1 with it's readable features - my favourite part of the site
FORIX F1's database
Autosport.com with the latest news around motorsport - not just F1
all at the same price. There is no need to buy Autosport magazine & now I am wondering if Autosport.com have shot themselves in the foot big-style here. For Atlas, it's a massive coup.
Think about it - autosport magazine is about £100 a year subscription - even if the prices go up, it'll be half that price. So, I'll happily dig deeper, but I do realise I am in a position where I can do that, others are not so fortunate, I appreciate.
Very good news & I am sure things will not be compromised.
