Starting AFTER Australia spoils a lot of the fun, IMHO...

By then someone might actually know something about the relative performance of the different chassis/engine/tyre/driver combinations... (unless the drivel in the winter testing tread DOES mean something...;) )

On the subject of Alapans Dream Team of: Msc Rai Mon Fer Frr Mic.

I'm new to this (so if the scoring is wrong sorry) but assuming Rai or Mon wins (you need the 20 points for Michelin) and that Msc is second dropping only 2 points for the Fer Frr combo and that the other finishes third, as long as they qualify 1,2 and 3rd and one of them gets the fastest lap then a team score of 600 is possible (602 if you picked Bri tyres and Msc in the Fer Frr won with the Macs 2nd and 3rd). However at a cost of $100m you are $46million over budget. At a penalty of 2 points per million per lap, at the end of lap 6 you will have a penalty of - 552 points and on lap 7 that will be - 644 surpassing the maximum score you could acheive for the perfect weekend.

You have about 3 days to get a team in for this years comp.

An just a note that if there are identical teams likely to win the championship I will come up with a tie breaker question for the last race to determine the winner.

Also, if you have picked Klien as a driver and Red Bull do swap their drivers around every 3 races or so then this will be scored as if Klien was driving.

Yes Melbourne scores will be counted for all entries, whether posted before or after the event. That is why I am waiting until entries close before posting the results.

It has been my observation over the last few years that Melbourne is not a good indicator of how well teams go in Fantasy Manager. I usually perform quite well at Melbourne then proceed to slide down the rankings for the rest of the year.
