Anyway ... here is the second round!

I hope this time Ferrari does well and it helps people to get loads of positive points ;) :cat:

If Red Bull Racing wins, this is going to be a Civil War  . BTW, excellent perfomance in Australia, particularly for DC.

Well, as usual in the first rounds, I repeat here the rules.

==============================================

There is two changes in the rules:

1) scoring is like the classic one, except we now substract 2 from it. It means now the scores go from a minmum of -2 to a maximum of 4.

2) Miss-scores are gone. They are pointless with the new scoring method.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The rules are:

It consists in guessing the three firsts (podium positions) in F1 races. You do an ordered guess (i.e. msch-mont-rsch) and a score is given according to real podium results. The scoring system is as explained here:

Suppose you do the guess msch-mont-rsch.

If msch is 1st, 3 points
if msch is 2nd, 2 points
if msch is 3rd, 1 point

If mont is 1st, 2 points
if mont is 2nd, 2 points
if mont is 3rd, 1 point

If rsch is 1st, 2nd or 3rd, 1 point

It another driver makes a podium position, it doesn't give any points.

All points for msch, mont and rsch are added and then 2 is subtracted. So final score range from -2 to +4.

Another rules are:

Any guess can be done before one hour before the official first start of the race. We will use the "official" Atlas Forum clock to resolve timming issues.

Podium positions will be considered those celebrated in the official podium ceremony , notwithstanding any posterior modification due to application of FIA rules.

Ties in general classification are resolved favouring who is "best" classified in the previous classification.

To win the final first prize at the end of the season it is required to participate in more than 50% of rounds of this game.

In order to have a reference I will enter two "dummy" players: Bernie and Max (the names were chosen randomly ). Bernie always guesses the firsts three qualifyers, and Max always guesses the firsts three classified in WDC current points table. Can you outscore B&M?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Due to "popular" demand now our format of naming drivers will go along other games in this forum:

xxxx / yyyy / zzzz

where xxxx is the four letter name of the first classified, yyyy is for the second classified and zzzz is the third classified. The four letter name is the four first letters of the surname except Michael Schumacher=msch, Ralf Schumacher=rsch, Tiago Monteiro=tmon. Note that Montoya is mont.

In case of any error entering guesses in a different format, I'll do my best to resolve the guess if there are not indeterminations.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guess example: (don't put your nick!)

msch/barr/butt

It means you bid to Micheal being 1st, Barry 2nd and Button 3rd.

As (almost) always, MAX does the first guess:

Fisi/Alon/Msch

Schummy

I am tempted to put Fisi..I really am, as for Alonso I am worried of his cars reliability but otherwise he would be among these perhaps take 3rd from Barrichelo that should show is how confident I am on Renaults pace. In anycase I don't think FA's car will have the pace of Fisi's ditto.
We will see sunday-afternoon local time- won't we?

Edit
I am geting cold feet
The force is strong with the blue-yellow team.....see you after Q2, for final list.

I have thus changed my list, There is no way ferrari can touch the Renaults this race, whether they start heavy or not....I will be happily surprised if they do though

I share pretty much your view. Maybe I'd put to put Alonso as I think he is very rapid in race days, but possibly his engine must be messy :)

It seems the long, fast corners in Malaysia fit well Renault chassis, so it can be a good day for Renault.

Ferraris... I don't know how the "old" car will do against Macs in Sepang. Raikkonen can be a "grey" horse, maybe even Monty, but I tend to have more fath in Kimi by now.

Disaster for Ferrari. Maybe this is going to be a good F1 season (let's see the new 2005 Ferrari, though)

Two of the three guessed drivers collide among them (fisi-webb) :stoned: Some of us have lost lots of point in one second! :rotfl: At least, those who have guessed Fernando as winner will have positive results ( )

"Bright" guess by BERNIE: +3 points  ;)
