Noel (or Mr Riley as I will always know him) is alive and well and lives in NSW and was involved in Motorsport up until a few years ago.
His son was a very handy Karter who had multiple NSW State championships to his name and may have even won some Australian titles.
One of my most memorable motoring experiences was being taken for a drive around where I grew up by him in a Mini Cooper S.

I don't recall Sandra Bennett racing one, but she certainly may have...

Noel Riley's car was owned by Bennett Honda, I'm pretty sure, anyway. Ken Brian, from memory, was also a Bennett Honda employee.


Noel was first sponsored by Campbell Scott in the period...plus maybe Dunlop and an oil company all arranged through Campbell Scotts.

I believe that's what really gave his career a kick along.

(So, both Seldo and Tinker may have it wrong...and 2Bob wins)
