------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes according to these rules:

* You can give a driver either three, two or one point. (Or zero, which is default.)

* You can distribute no more than ten points (but less if you want to).

* You need to vote for at least two drivers.

If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the ignore list for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer) Also not arguing over somebody elses votes or again on the ignore list you go. Posts should be along the lines of:

...3 points: the driver/s you think did the best job during the weekend
...2 points: the next best ones
...1 point: the ones after that

Make it clear which Schumacher brother you mean. Don't use the abbreviation Mont, as it could mean either Montoya or Monteiro.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then in reversed race result order.

Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship ignore list can still participate in Rate the race.

2005 so far:

I will repeat what I said about Malaysia. With the new rules, drivers are playing russian roulette. Thanks to the modern design, Bahrain has no guard-rails close to the track, so off-track incursions are as safe as they can be. But come Imola and come Monaco this will be too dangerous. Nevertheless, lots of drivers did an outstanding job this weekend.

3 points to Fernando Alonso. Flawless the whole weekend, very solid performance. With the other teams improving, the sooner Renault/Flavio Briatore make him officialy the first driver of the team, the better.

2 points to He didn't knew the track. He got the drive by surprise. And Even so, Pedro de la Rosa did an remarckable presentation, was a real warrior on track. Hope to see him again in Imola, Formula One needs this kinds of drivers. He also ruined everybody's [/i]Place the Points[/i] guesses, but I think we can overlook that.

1 point gang One fighet bravelly with an unthinkable condition: Ferrari without spare parts. The other was fast as he can be while the car lasted, proving that he is not dead on the c'ship. The Maranello duo, Rubens Barrichello and multi-champion Michael Schumacher did a great job on a weekend that, result-wise, would be better forgotten.
Also, a point to Takuma Sato, who fighted a lot during the race, showed some solid defensive moves against faster cars. That's entertainment, that's Takuma.
Jarno Trulli puts his team in a sticky situation. With a car slightly better, he will be a contender to the title. Problem is, those "slightlies" don't come easy on F-1, specially in a team that is not used to the situation. Deserves a point for the great job the whole weekend.
And finally, the points are a prize for the solid work Felipe Massa develops in Sauber. Great saturday, solid and brave sunday.

Quality: the danger lottery aspects of the new rules do not deserve more than a 6
Satisfaction: I'd say 7. Rubens deserved to score points
