Dan proudly displays his winning effort at Adam's Oulton Park quiz.
Barry tries to distract us from the strange flower pot looking over him....

I'm willing to risk a meeting without Dan if others are. We may go off the rails technically, but we'll survive.

Phoor! Bit risky! Mind you I never was risk averse due to not knowing what it meant! :stoned:

So any suggestions of when and where?

I'm OK for a meeting before Christmas...any weeknight except Fridays.

I wonder if we could attract Paul Sheldon if we went to the Woolpack at Esholt ?

I am OK for a get together (other than this week).
Would prefer either Tuesday or Thursday. What about Bispham this time?

Well, the Eagle and Child at Bispham Green would be very nice for me of course, this Thursday...better for Steve too I would think.... If the more southern northerners don't mind a bit of a drive.

Dan, sure you can't make it for an hour since this would be on your doorstep?

Oh No! How can we resolve the dicotomy over the De Dion plus the question on everyone's lips?

Thanks for not grumbling about the journey for you, Adam. We must have a Stoke do sometime, perhaps attracting some Midlanders?

I'll do my best to join you again for one of your get-togethers in the new year... maybe tie it in with a trip to my folks in Leicester.
With regard to an earlier post, I could perhaps bring a de Dion with me...

I have had a rough count up starting from the first official meeting on 29 Dec 03, and believe it or not, this would appear to be the 17th Northern UK TNF meeting!

Have people recovered sufficiently from the festive excesses to think about the first meeting of 2006?

So all we need is conformation of the presence of the Connew grease monkey to determine the venue!

Can I suggest that the main item on the Agenda be Roger's presentation of his Pomeroy Index analysis?

Who? Do they play some kind some kind of ball game? I'm wholly in accord with Mr Beard on this.

Moreover, I'm not going unless everybody agrees not to mention threads about politics, Jeremiah Clarkson or irrational and illogical prejudices. All totally inappropriate to such a gathering, in my opinion. And yes, Dan, I chose that word deliberately.

I would add 1977 Group 8 mystery cars, and the E.R.A. Club as discussion items.

I totally agree with Roger that certain inappropriate threads should be off limits!!!
Also no mention should be made of any football teams from South East Staffordshire.

Oooh . . . I thought you were talking about one of the faster breakdown vehicles - Albion chassis with Burton tweaked Ford engine...

Sorry I won't be able to make it. Presumably good manners will stop you taking about politics during the meal.
