At the September 1967 St Jovite "Continental Championship" race (for Formula A, Formula B), one of the non-starters is given by Autoweek as "Hoppy Hopkins" in a Lotus Climax.
I've just been sent the entry list and at #2 is Tom Hoppy of Washington, driving the Lotus-Climax of "L. Smith". He was running in Formula A which allowed racing engines such as a Climax up to 3 litres. I assumed "Hoppy" was a nickname so maybe his real name was Tom Hopkins.
Anyone heard of him? And does anyone know anything about that Lotus-Climax?
Thanks
Allen

Hi Allen,
At the October 1964 SCCA Divisionals held at the Virginia International Raceway, a Hoppy Hopkins from Norfolk, Virginia was entered in an Austin-Healy Sprite in the H Production class:

Is this the same person as your Hoppy Hopkins?
