It strikes me that the Berta looks rather a big car, in the same way that the unraced Eagle F1/F5000 was a bit on the tubby side.... but some aspects of it look very much like a slightly clumsier mix of Brabham BT34/37/42/44 particularly the nose-rads and the attention to the overall shape of the car.

The begin was impressive, and the development was follow with great expectatives and hope.., because the test in the dynamometer was register a power of 410 BHP at 10.600 RPM., against the 430 HP of the DFV-Ford in this time..
Mr Oreste Berta builded aprox. 9 or 10 engines like this, between 1971 to 1974.
In the test Bank of Mr Berta's factory:

In Fact........., Mr Ecclestone Talk with Mr Berta about to make a Brabham with Berta V8 engine..
Look the full data HERE:
Even ALPINE buy one Berta V8 engine for study and tests, the engine was send to France by airplane cargo, and all spenses was pay for Alpine.
