------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes according to these rules:

* You can give a driver either three, two or one point. (Or zero, which is default.)

* You can distribute no more than ten points (but less if you want to).

* You need to vote for at least two drivers.

If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the ignore list for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer) Also not arguing over somebody elses votes or again on the ignore list you go. Posts should be along the lines of:

...3 points: the driver/s you think did the best job during the weekend
...2 points: the next best ones
...1 point: the ones after that

Make it clear which Schumacher brother you mean. Don't use the abbreviation Mont, as it could mean either Montoya or Monteiro.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then in reversed race result order.

Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship ignore list can still participate in Rate the race.

Since I didn't see the race I feel that I can only vote in one category:

Hmm. in my opinion there was lot of 3 point candidates but they were screwed up by mistakes in various forms so:

Fernando Alonso - 2 points (good race, wasn't fastest on race, but lucky)
Juan Pablo Montoya - 2 points (amazing race pace from last to second but screwed up qualifying)
Kimi Räikkönen - 2 points (fastest guy on practises, qualifying and even in race, but need to bring car at finish line in one piece - unlucky)
Jenson Button - 1 point (wise strategy to pass Michael Schumacher)
Giancarlo Fisichella - 1 point (nice pass over Michael Schumacher)
Jacques Villeneuve - 1 point (kept going though had 3 different shunts)

Quality - 5

- Kimi Räikkönen 3 points considering we're rating the drivers, not the equipment.
- Alonso gets 2 points for solid race and decent qualifying
- Juan Pablo Montoya 1 point considering we should rate the whole weekend. If he was that fast in qualifying as his hard core fans seem to think, he really shouldn't have thrown away a certain victory by crashing out. Nice first laps.
- Button gets 1 point for humiliating M Schumacher.
- Ralf Schumacher gets 1 point for solid race.
- Coulthard gets 1 point just for being Coulthard.

Quality: 7. It was a good, eventful race even after Räikönen retired from the lead.
Satisfaction: 3. I have nothing against Alonso, but McLaren unreliability lowers my poinst.

well, well. After some snoozing parties, that was a race . Still don't like the tyre rules, but I got to say this time we have lots of excitement - beggining saturday, with Montoya, and going thru the whole race, from a fantastic first lap to a thrilling last 5 ones.

The sad note is to this Dumboos guy. I don't remember seing so many errors in a debut race. Let's hope he improves. anyway, lots of people needed to be praised.

2 points gang First, Juan Pablo Montoya A fantastic race. Helped by the incredible superiosity of McLaren, granted, even so a wonderful display of skills. Talking about skills, Michael Schumacher deseves all the praise for this race. Great saturday, fighted every curve, showing great defensive moves against way faster cars. If this season is good for something to the german, it's to show he is extremelly resourcefull under adverse conditions. And finally, let's make justice to Raikkonen. Pole and a great race untill the lack of luck hit him again.

1 point to Man, Lady Luck is in love with the spaniard. Fernando AlonsoCruised to a great, solid win. But he is not the guy everybody is talking of on F-1; this would be Button; not only he was great the whole weekend, the musichal chairs moves are just waiting for him. Races like today's would only increase his value. Also, let's hear it to Giancarlo Fisichella. He drove today like people wanted him to do the whole year. But, at any rate, good to see him in tip top condition. And finally, Felipe Massa A regular saturday completelly erased by a fantastic first lap and great fights the whole race. Way to go.

Quality Wow, after a long time, a race that deserves a 7! Lots of different emotions

Satisfaction I got to say 5, that podium could use Schumy & the Iceman.

3 points: Räikkönen, Button. - Kimi topping every timed session (of the race drivers) and the fastest race lap deserves nothing else than 3 points. (McLaren should get -3). Button also did much better than I expected. Hopefully he joins the young guns battle for WDC next year.

1 point: Alonso, Montoya, Coulthard, M. Schumacher. - Montoya would get 3 points if he hadn't messed up that Q since he probably would have won the race, but he was very slow compared to Kimi in the race so only 1 point. Alonso did what was expected of him (though he should have been 2nd on the grid). DC and MS had nice runs considering the cars they had.

Quality: 6 - at least we saw some overtaking.

Satisfaction: 1 - could just as well be zero, but I do give credit to Renault for making such a reliable car for Alonso.
