At the Oulton Park Gold Cup on 5th October 1957 Graham Hill set a new F2 Lap record and was presented with the Looker Challenge Trophy. The question is, what was the Looker Challenge Trophy? Can anyone in the TNF shed some light on this?

The results published with the Autosport report of the Oulton Park Gold Cup race simply say the "Looker Challenge Cup for Fastest Lap" was awarded to Hill

Lookers is a prominent car sales dealership in the U.K.

Is it possible that the trophy may have been donated by them...

Reggie Tongue, who was a director of Oulton Park at the time, was also a director of Lookers car dealership.
I suspect that this is how their sponsorship came about.

Lookers were established in Manchester in 1908, and represented the many regional manufacturers that existed in Britain at that time. By the late 1970's they had close links with British Leyland.
