Apologies for the photo quality but it's all about wonderful memories of 1979.

I still have vivid memories of witnessing the 'skirted' ground effect working at this part of the circuit. It was difficult to comprehend the performance.

And speaking of memories, yours blew me away, Donald. Speaking at ease with Jimmy like that made my hair stand up in imagining it, even second-hand. This is what it's all about.

I think I've found one from 1981.

 

This was a 500cc bike race at Donnington but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a Championship round?

 

That may be Franco Uncini Marco Lucchinelli behind Jody? (Thanks Reggazzoni)

I think I've found one from 1981.
 
This was a 500cc bike race at Donnington but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a Championship round?

That was one of the races for Scheckter's short-lived "pirate" Grand Prix series, the "World Cup", was it? It may have been the only race, I'd need to check.
