Alessandro beat me to the identification, but of course the Alfettas only raced there in 1939 and 1940.
For the rest of your pictures, you might find this useful:

Or you could just post them here so we can all enjoy them ....

Did he ever come up with the goodies?Originally posted by Michael Aikey
Thank you both for the replies and information. I'll post a couple more of the Tripoli photos soon; the least I can do for the assistance.

Michael, I have been wondering about that. 28 threads started, all requiring core information, and nothing apart from one picture, in return.[i]Originally posted by fines

I cannot help but conclude it is one-way traffic, not really in keeping with the ethos of TNF
How different the explanatory approach is on this one.

Thanks!
Thanks,
Pity that is in Italian:
Most of the place is now the airport of Tripoli,
there was big Plane accident this year when a plane crashed just before landing...

only a boy of 9 survived the disaster...

No, this big Plane accident happened near the Tripoli International Airport, but the old Mellaha circuit clashes with the "Mitiga International Airport", located about 8 kilometres (5 miles) east of Tripoli's city centre.
