I am going to try to pull a lot of the Paolo D'Alessio Formula 1 illustrations, as they give a nice summary of the major design aspects of modern F1 competitors, but this one that I am starting with is the Alfa Romeo 156 Super Touring car of 1998 or out that year's September issue of Race Car Engineering.  It was not signed, so I am presuming that it is from D'Alessio.

This is one of those photo-see-thrus that have popped up more lately since nobody can seem to get anything to do normal cutaway illustrations. This piece was a promotional piece that done on the Oldsmobile Aerotech Quad 4 streamliner, a car built with an Indy car chassis with a standard Aerotech Quad 4 engine with a streamliner body adapted ... used in advertising and their line catalogs in 1987.

I am going to complete the collection of scans that I recently took from all those old Race Car Engineering magazines, including a bunch of Tony Matthews pieces which are among my favorites all-time.   Many of these, if not all, have been posted previously, so I tried to make a little larger files for everyone, since I wanted to get the larger scans anyway.  Not that big of an extra project to send them along ... but, I am really hoping that everyone else will start posting again, as the international cutaway market was completely different from what I generally saw over here ... always enjoy seeing those unique pieces showing up and feel like I have paid my dues to be able to request it.
I will start with a piece that was done in 1982 and used for the introduction of that year's new Corvette. This was taken from an issue of Motor Trend from 1982, with all the advertising copy removed to focus on only the illustration by Robert Leech.

Mazda 787B by Takashi Jufuku.
Retouched in the center (missing a slice of about 5 mm) by Macoran. Great job. Thank you Marc.
