It's time to pick a victim for the 2006 "How long will it take to lap ..." competition.
Who will follow in the footsteps of such great drivers as Alex Yoong, Jos Verstappen and Zsolt Baumgartner?
To be honest, Narain didn't really deliver for me. I'd like to see a driver for this year who has a little more emotinal baggage to carry.
My votes in order of preference:
1. Scott Speed
2. Rubens Barrichello
3. Christijan Albers
Please submit your sugeestions in this thread.
I would like to settle on a driver about 2 weeks befor the race.
Cheers,
Andre

It's kind of a personal thing... Mister "I can be champion, too; boo hoo...".
I'll get a kick out of every time he gets lapped this season .
Anyhow, Sato does sound good. I think if he makes it onto the team, he'll be The One
The only reservation I may have is that Sato is actually fairly good (if he stay on the track ). So he may be fairly boring for our purposes.

Andre

I also think that Sato has to be considered for this, but maybe we'll just wait and see who the second Super Auguri driver is

Scott Speed, no question he has been extraordinarily inconsistent in both GP2 and A1, apart from consistenly not finishing.
Please not Sato, too predictable, he would not make the game exciting.

Toro Rosso has appeal ie: Speed or Luizzi? Perhaps this may be the way to go?????

Should he not get the nod as a driver, Scott Speed would be a backup choice folloed by Liuzzi.
I'd like to lock in a driver by end of next week. So please speak up now or it'll be "HLWITTL-Sato" this year .
Cheers,
Andre

It will surely mean little (likely nothing) if it is Sato, I am not playing, since that is essentially a "stupid" (no offence meant) choice.

Ah, but may I remind you why this competition started:
Alex Yoong had no business whatsoever in F1. That's exactly the spirit of this competition.
You have to admit that Sato's unpredictable nature may be benefitial for our purposes, no?
And also keep in mind the "baggage" part. Yoong had a whole country resting on his shoulders, so does Sato pretty much. Heck they created a whole new team for him to get a ride .
The more I think about it, the more I think Sato is a great choice.
Cheers,
Andre

Aww come on now...
We need you! You've been a good contender in this competition since as far I can remember.
Sato isn't set in stone yet...
In any case... For the love of the game, Michael!;)

Andre
