I'm currently rebuilding a 1972 Charger to race at the upcoming 2006 Le Mans Classic. The original Charger was raced at Le Mans by Hershel and Doug McGriff in 1976. You can read about the whole project here Olympia Charger weblog

I know "elji" aka "Coyote". He made these photos himself in Le Mans as he was there as a teen spectator.
The Charger lasted only three laps in the Le Mans 24 hours of 1976. That is probably why there are not many photos of that car around.
Here is anothe photo from Coyote which shows you how loose spectator safety was in those days towards Dunlop bridge
