Experimentation slider set to 65% and I damage the car on my second practice run, no laps left... come on....it indeed looks to be random...or, when your driving a good car, you're more likely to crash to prevent you from getting a good setup.

I have to agree with this. Traditionally I have set the slider @ 50, but have recently tried 100% and have had no more crashes or bad laps than at 50%.

My mistake didn't check on the tyre allocations and used up all softs during quali and got only the hard for the race.

Better to not set your qual strategy than to setup your race strategy wrong! Smarty pants her did uncheck softs, but forgot to check hards. Result : pit for intermediates after lap 1. Bloody miracle I finished 14th!

This is pretty neat.. I did really lousy in my first race, but my team-mate did great.. Now we are 1-2 in practice for the second race.

... In Red Bulls. :D

On actual combined points, or do you mean your production points total is greater than the main points total? BIG difference.

I mean if the driver championship tables were combined, i would be at the top having scored more points than anyone else.

It doesnt work that way though ;)

Unless you won an overall race, you wouldnt have maximum points from any weekend, you'd only have class wins. Otherwise you'd have guys in 3 year old F3 cars winning National F3 titles because they had scored more points in Class B than the overall champion did.

i know that :p i was just going by the same rules as the real btcc where production cars can win the championship. doesn't matter now though since the touring guys have scored a few more then me, still leading production though :D

Speaking of that game.. Is there ANY possible way to make a midfield team kick ass in the first season? I'm using Sauber and I have over 150 designers and engineers, but I'm still scraping for 7th to 10th in most races.

Well, you've got to realise that the game caters for people from all around the world, who live in different timezones. If you make it less time, you're going to cause problems as people sleep and work.

Im curious to see how many people make it to season two. Ill need at least a week break to get back into it again, but the problem is we will already know the ideal setups and strategies for our cars, so it will be i think too boring the second time around.

Looking forward to the CART/IRL carset though.

Do we know the setups? I don't think they're quite the same. I'm competing in 2 2006 games and setups for the same tracks definitely are different.

Also looking forward to the champ car carset  Hope there'll be a DTM as well!

Im thinking about starting a CART league sometime middle of next week. All my F1 games will be done by then, and ill only have BTCC left.

I think F1 might be too dull second time around, CART looks like a giggle.

So far about 4 people from current AtlasF1league have shown interest

Sigh...browser (neither firefox or explorer) doesn't connect to batracer website right now. I'd need to set up car for race but I'm unable to do that. Looks like I'm having timeout and loading errors only for batracer, since all random pages works fine. :|

And no, no champcars for me. After these current 3 games I have, are over, I quit.

Ugh, I'm too frustrated with BATracer. I get nothing but constant "your over-enthusiasm cost you time, blah blah blah," "Babineau makes a mistake going into the final corner and is out of the race!"

I don't get it. At all. I set everything to VERY careful. I swear, BATracer is such a bunch of randomness.

Had the same problem for a long time. It was suggested I was too careful and that seemed to be true. Just pop your risk up bit by bit and see what works for you.

Looks like a generic pre-96 CART series. Which makes me curious and annoyed the Indy500 isnt there.

Wanted. Blindingly fast driver/s with exceptional technical ability for drive within the Reiver Atlantic CART team.

Must be willing to crush opposition mercilessly while making team leader look good.
