I seem to remember Louis Stanley claiming that the ambulance driver at Silverstone was also expected to drive the fire engine! I also read somewhere that Anderson started his career racing bikes. Anyway, I think it's important to remember drivers such as Bob who helped contribute to our sport's rich history.
Copuldn't agree more, Kev. Do a search on here and you'll find a fair bit of stuff about Bob, so I won't bother repeating the gist of it here. There are quite a few of us around here who have a lot of time for him (me especially).

And I recall he made a blinding start at Monaco in '66, up to 4th by St. Devote, but he didn't make an oversubscribed grid the next year.

Apparently Repco in Australia got hold of the patterns after Coventry-Climax had finished producing them, as the FPF was the mainstay engine of Australia's Gold Star Series until the Repco V8 was introduced in into the Gold Star in 1967. The V8 was found to be not as reliable in 2.5 litre form as it was in F1, and subsequently an FPF powered car won the Gold Star in 1967.

It's a photo you won't forget once you have seen it. It's the complete opposite to todays F1 paddocks.

There was also a '20 questions to Bob Anderson' in the June 1967 'Motor Racing'.
Pete Lovely was another who used a pick-up truck, for his Lotus 49 in 1969 - there are pictures in Michael Oliver's book.

Thanks to Tomas for the tip.
Thanks to Paul : I wonder if "your" article from MS1966 is the same as October 2002 (MS) ?
I believe in an older Bob Anderson thread(2002) Doug Nye posted the 20 qs from Motor Racing
Have seen Lovely Vws he had of late more than one, but started out with the old version with 2 part front window.
Thanks to all .
Bjørn
PS. Kev , are you still here?

Hellol, Bob drove with an FPF Climax 2,7 ltr. engine in the season 66, was this the old 2,5 ltr. 4 cylindre and 240 HP F1 engine from 1960? In which way could he developed the engine. I´m very astonish if this was really the 4 cyl. engine!

Not sure where this clip fits in and under which of 4 different threads for Bob but here goes! Winning at Vallelunga Grand Prix 1963

I think the Pathe date is wrong. It should be 19th May according to "Long forgotten races" by Chris Ellard.
Imagine, a F1 race with a podium of Anderson, de Beaufort and Ian Raby. Great.
