This is a photo of a Firestone fitted to Surtees' 1968 RA 301 at the Honda museum Motegi.
Sorry it isn't great, but I think there is enough detail to make out the pattern. If not, I can mask the photo to give a binary image.
FWIW, the RA 302 sitting next to it is on Dunlops.

That is a very good shot soubriquet thank you.
Possibly they didn't have anymore Firestones to fit the Motegi show car,
it seems that the RA 302 was launched on Firestones.
I'll check my stats to see what it was raced on as the race in which Schlesser was
killed was a wet race.
Do you happen to have any good chassis pics.
and.....what is a binary image? may I ask....I only know what the word means.
