Giacomelli's 1983 Theodore?

"Rare 1983 Theodore Ex-Bruno Giacomelli..."
Well it would be bloody rare because I can't ever recall Bruno putting his bum anywhere near a Theodore in 1983 or any other time!
Or did I miss something?
Also for sale:
"Formula Junior. 1959 unique car....located in Hampshire"
The identity is clearly a secret unless a unique manufacturer simply called his unique car 'Formula Junior'
While I'm on the topic of classifieds, I haven't seen Chris Alford's ads for a while. Is he still about?

I've checked my copy - it's no.33 with Valvoline - the 1982 car that Tommy Byrne ended up with perhaps?

Which issue/page?
Thanks!

The car in the photo is white - the Cecotto/Guerroro cars were navy and white as I recall.
So I would say it's an 81 or 82 Theodore - about the time Bruno was driving Alfas.
I cannot believe someone who owns a F1 car and wants to sell it hasn't got the nous to know its history before marketing it.
Or, yet again, am I missing something?

That's how they were in 1982; in 1983 they were raised somewhat along with the flat-bottom regs.Originally posted by fausto
...however the lowline rear wing isn't exactly F.1...

Edit: Silly me, of course it's a TY02, fitted with a big banger in this case.

Theodore TY02/1, Jan Lammers, 1982 Monaco GP
Theodore TY02/2, Geoff Lees, 1982 Canadian GP
Visible changes to the Theodore TY02/1 in Marc's picture -- it's rear wing and engine -- are easy to explain, as in 1984 (after disastrous results in 1982 F1 WC and a non-raced year in 1983) it find its place in fading Can-Am series, where it was fitted with Chevrolet V8 5-litre engine and was raced four times by Bill Tempero (see the picture below); yes -- with the same success as it had in F1.
More pictures as TY02/1 looks nowadays can be found on the following pages:

I think he converted the car to a F5000 because he is listed in the Zippo GP entry list last year as driving a TY02/F5000.
