Question about a GT race at Monza, 1965 or 1966

I'm looking for infos about a GT race held at Monza probably in 1965 or 1966.
In the last lap there was an accident at Lesmo between three leading Ferrari: a 250 GTO, a 250 LM and a 250 GTO 1965 version.
Have you got any more info? What race and what drivers were involved in this crash?
Could it be an edition of Coppa Carri or Coppa Intereuropa?
A friend of mine suggested that Coppa Carri was a touring race and Coppa Intereuropa a GT one, held (until 1971) in the morning of F.1 GP. So possibly this race could have been on Spetember 12th 1965 or September 4th 1966.
Do anybody know anything more about?
Thanks!
Ciao,
Guido

Both these events in 1965 do not seem to have been contested by Ferraris.Mainly Fiat Abarths.XV1 Coppa Intereuropa 25 April,X Coppa Carri 3 Oct. Only race that year with Ferrari sportscars was Monza 1000km,and no mention of incident mentioned in lengthy report in Monza year book. Sorry I do not have the book for the 66 season.Originally posted by gdecarli

So Coppa Intereuropa was not held in the morning of F.1 GP, on September 12th 1965 and September 4th 1966?

Scarfiotti was driving a 250 or 275P aiming to an easy victory for gaining points for the Italian championship. I also remember (withoit checking any document) a 250/64 GTO driven by Oddone Sigala. I don't remember any crash. I should have photos of that race, somewhere.

Most probable.
At the time Edoardo Lualdi-Gabardi raced a 250LM, and he won a Coppa FISA (don't remember what year, i think 1964). Other Ferrari for Oddone Sigala, Mario Casoni, Tonino Niccodemi.
Probably also the Swiss race could be... there was some Swiss drivers' Ferrari in the early 60s... Cox Kocher had a GTO and a certain Muller (not Herbert, perhaps Georg or Charlie... ) who sometime raced a 250LM.
But my memory does not help...

What is a GTO '65 version? I thought they stopped making them in '64.

Sudan (CH) also the GT Category Monza in the Coppa AMAG (1964) in the same car.
Kocher won at GT Category Monza in the Coppa AMAG (10-10-1965) in 250 GTO 3705 GT
If Lualdi was involved it must have been 250 LM 6173. This LM did receive a Drogo long along the way (often as result of shunt). Taramazzo and Sigala did drive this Ferrari as well in thosde days.
Also GTO 4713 GT was used on Monza minor races often in 1964 and 1965 (drivers Sigala, Lualdi, Taramazzo and others).
If not the Coppa AMAG, it may heva been the Trofeo Ettore Bettoia in 1964. Sigala and Lualdi taking part in a GTO62 and Scarfiotti in a 330 LM.
No clear links I can give, sorry.

The Ferrari 275 GTB/C Speciale is sometimes called GTO 1965, but isnt meant here. Only one was raced and in international races only.

At Pergusa in 1965 there was a selection of GTOs in the Coppa Enna and, according to the report in MN, a 1965 version in the hands of Clemente Ravetto.
During the race Nino Vaccarella in a works 275LM ( or should that be 250LM !?) had a tremendous "off". His engine blew and he careered off the track, bucked and reared for some 70 metres and ended up Moses-like by the bulrushes. Whether other Ferraris got involved in this incident I do not know.

Yes, I'm sure it was at Monza, as it has been told me by a friend who lives in Milan and who was there that day.
It seems this race it was Coppa Fisa, held at Monza on March 13th 1966 for «all categories»: Touring, Prototypes, GT, Formula 3 and Formula 875 Monza.
I have been sent a copy of Autosprint (Italian Magazine) with race report. According to this, the accident was between Antonio Nicodemi (Ferrari 250 LM) and Luigi Taramazzo (Ferrari GTO) and the race was won by Edoardo Lualdi (Ferrari 250 LM).
Ciao,
