To marketing people one motorhead is the same as the next.

How wrong they are !.

Many areas of motorsport are so far apart, they speak a different language.

Let's hope they fix that credibility gap !

Sadly, Mike Raymond was largely responsible for the corruption of much terminology in Aust and suddenly we had circuit racing with "straightaways" and "drafting", and the cars were "pushing" or "loose".
All didn't make much sense to me since "straightaway" was something my father barked at me in no uncertain terms, a "draft" was a breeze under a door that was guaranteed to give you a cold, "pushing" was something we had to do to start Mum's A40, and "loose" was something to do with that rather alluring girl down the street that my mother strongly disapproved of ...;)

You're right there...

Tell me, do you think it's the 'stripe' or the 'strike' he refers to when discussing the finish line?

Whichever, it's all garbage!

That 2006 Promotion POster just made no sense at all. Indeed the whole pitch of BIMF is confounding - a bit of Speed of Tweed, a bit of Muscle Car Nationals, but no real character of its own.

Hopefully they will do a better job of promoting the 2007 12 Hour...
