Unanswered threads always reach my soft side. Welcome. Feestelijk inhalen!
Wish I could help ... your request has a deal of specificity in it! But I'm sure TNF is the place to get an answer!

Hi Mkesses.
About Jan Lammers with Lotus in Paul Ricard I knew this:
David Phipps - fan of Mansell- was colleague of Chapman and convinced the mago of the Lotus to observe “the lion” in the Woodcote curve de Silverstone in the preliminary of the F1, underneath of rain.
He was in 13º in grid (1 ' 28 " 67s) against 1 ' 27 " 07 of pole Mike Thackwell (March Toyota) and behind of Prost with 1 ' 28 " 74s (Martini-Renault).
He finished in 6º and his fans Peter Collins, Windson and Phipps had had forts arguments - after of the test to convince Chapman.
Set appointments for Paul Ricard veteran drivers Elio de Angelis, Eddie Cheever, Jan Lammers, Stephan South, Marc Surer (he did not drive the Lotus) and Nigel Mansell who travelled until France after a phone call of David Phipps.
The 2 cars were Lotus 79 and 1 80:
On Monday: Elio (50-60 laps) 1 ' 08" 61s.
On Tuesday: Cheever (50-60 laps) 1 ' 10 " 4s.
On Wendsday: Lammers (Lotus 79) 1 ' 10 " 8s.
On Thursday: South (Lotus 79 and 80) 1 ' 07 " 74s. (with Lotus 79)
Mansell was and the gear broke… (without time).
On Friday: Mansell (35 rain laps) 1 ' 13 " 91s
After the test, Chapman selected de Angelis to the side of Andretti for 1980 and woke up a contract of pilot-of-test for Mansell promising to him some participations in the GPs.
With this he piloted March F3 and the Ralt-Honda de Ron Tauranac in the F2…
Abraço,
Sergio Sultani.
