After Henning Solberg’s problems with the FIA for doing donuts during the 2006 Cyprus rally:
Does anyone of you remember or know who did the first ever donut? If it was in racing who started donuts in rallying? In Reinhard Klein’s book "Der Rallyesport 82-83" one can find two pics of Per Eklund while doing a by then so-called "pirouette" with his Toyota Celica around a marker cone for a slalom in front of as mentioned "about 100,000 spectators" at Estoril Circuit during the Portugal Rally of 1982.
