Just stumbled across this on YAHOO!! sport :-

'Mr BRM' to take centre stage at Donington.

After its successful 'Evening with Jochen Mass' earlier this year, motorsport events company REDliners is playing host to another influential member of the motorsport fraternity later this month, when it welcomes Tim Parnell to Donington Park's famous Grand Prix Collection.

A local hero at the Derbyshire circuit, the man known as 'Mr BRM' will visit the Collection, and be interviewed about his career and achievements, on Thursday 19 October, with tickets for the event on sale now.

The son of racing ace Reg Parnell, Tim started his own motorsport career in 1957, campaigning a Cooper-Climax 1100 sportscar, before graduating to grand prix racing at the wheel of a Lotus 18. In 1964, following the death of his father, he became team principal of Reg Parnell Racing Ltd, managing such drivers as Chris Amon, Mike Hailwood and Peter Revson. His most notable association, however, came in the role of team and works manager at BRM, posts he held from 1966-75, and victory at the most glamorous event of them all.

"I'm particularly proud of the team's efforts to be part of the Monaco '72 victory with Jean-Pierre Beltoise," Parnell says, "And it was good to work alongside a future world champion, Niki Lauda, and a British great, Richard Attwood."

An evening in Parnell's company will offer motorsport enthusiasts the chance to listen to one of the great authorities on grand prix racing in the 1960s and '70s, as well as to see the stunning array of grand prix cars - including some of his BRMs - at the Grand Prix Collection. Attendance, however, is by ticket only, with entrance costing £10. Tickets are available by calling 0845 658 8093.

I thought this might be of interest to some in our midst.
