Moving on to the overall standings after the Turkish GP... The third ever F1 Pools Championship is still very much up for grabs for a number of people, but at least for now, Ric Bol maintains his narrow lead ahead of double champion dnbn, and D82 completes the top 3.

Please note that I, unlike the FIA, don't penalise drivers/teams for sheer carelessness/muppetry. Ergo, Albers' qualifying time and Sato's 14th place in the race stand as the reasons for their cancellation and disqualification, respectively, were 'merely' disciplinary.

And a championship update: if possible, the battle for this year's title is even tighter than before. Ric Bol, who led the pack to China, stumbles a bit and is knocked off the top 3 by new leader D82, reigning two-time champion dnbn and Makarias. However, the gaps are almost non-existent and, with two rounds to go, there are still a dozen or so players who could win this. Incidentally, it turns out I'm not one of them.

Interestingly, the entire championship top 3 finds themselves at the bottom of the results pile this time, so there's a bit of a shake-up in the overall standings (see below). Ric Bol climbs three places to resume his temporarily lost lead while D82's second place is now under threat from scheivlak and a handful of others.
