Abu Dhabi 2009, on post 10, listening to kings of Leon "my sex is on fire" they were setting up for the evening concert. So surreal in many ways.

The ever brilliant BBC4 TV ran another marvelous evening devoted to what is in my view wrongly called 'easy listening 'over the decades , a couple of nights ago .
A constant reminder of just how brilliant and varied our popular music was and what a comparative desert it has become today.

Agree Richard, I watched it too, it was a soundtrack to our lives, sadly I cannot name any modern chart records, let alone own any, maybe I am missing something
