Glad people found the video interesting. I hope some get around to listening to the radio doc. It is five years old, but when it was first aired it was buried in the schedule on a Saturday evening just before Christmas.
Regarding the relative scarcity of Tom related content in the 'mainstream', I consider this being repeated on Radio Wales a small victory!

I've not been on here for quite some time and I've been frantically busy for a few years for various reasons but having skim read some of this thread from my last visit I have to say that some things brought a lump to my throat.
It was just this afternoon whilst I was doing my usual internet trawl of various car blogs I spotted a photo on a news feed on the Speedhunters blog. Its an image of Tom being harassed by Jarier around Monaco in 76, typical of Tom he's pitched his Shadow in on full opposite lock. Brilliance.
The image brought back memories of my research years ago and lead me back to this place. I had a look to see my last few posts and realised that I'd infact posted up a few images of my soon to be painted helmet with my very own memorial on it. Well a few years later and with a few colour changes (they match my car) here it is:
I wear the helmet with a massive sense of pride!
I am going to make the journey up to Rhuthin this year to visit the memorial, its a fantastic piece of artisty. I cannot wait to see it for myself.
Bryn.

I have seen requests to view any available Tom Pryce interviews on various websites and have only ever found one ...
- rare interview with Tom Pryce from 1975
- rare BBC footage of the report relating to the tragic events at the 1977 South African Grand Prix
Plea for assistance:
I am presently working on a documentary script and would welcome any stories that anyone who knew Tom Pryce as a schoolboy (the obvious names of his really special friends are well documented in David Tremayne's excellent book, The Lost Generation) and in the workplace in Wales may have, in and around the Sevenoaks, Ightham Mote, Otford, Brands Hatch area, from the various race tracks in the UK and beyond, pit lane experiences having met Tom, former drivers who may have competed with Tom in the various classes that he raced in, and basically any other interesting facts ... I shall of course, as ever, be seeking Nella Pryce's advice and approval before continuing with this venture.
It would be appreciated if contributors would kindly leave their full names for purposes of acknowledgement
Much appreciated

Thanks for sharing those videos.
Wasn't the interview done around his rallying effort judging by the refrence to Chequered Flag that was visible in the background?

Thinking of you today Tom. I was there when you destroyed the rest of the field in the F3 race at the 1972 Race of Champions, and to see your only F1 win at the same meeting in 1975, and when you put that beautiful Shadow on pole for the British GP that year. RIP.

Well Done as always, Tim.As with JFK/Jim Clark/Gilles etc I can still remember exactly where I was when I heard the news - sitting around the radio with my two housemates and staring at each other in utter disbelief.

Still remember how I found out watching Grandstand (which was based at Cardiff) and Frank Bough mentioning that it was a mixed day for Welsh sport......

There were recent reports of Tom's headstone in the cemetery in the grounds of St Bartholomew's Church in Otford (near Sevenoaks) looking somewhat 'worse for wear' and after having a look myself, I must concur that it is not looking good. The letters are fading away and it will certainly be a pity if it in a matter of a few more years cannot be read at all.
However, any attempt to assist in remedying the matter should firstly be 'run by' Nella. With Nella's permission, the Ruthin Town Council (Sevenoaks Council?) / Tom Pryce Memorial Trust could be approached to then further assist. Nella is a very private person and may well have matters in hand, so we should be reminded of this fact.
The rather active Otford Historical Society may also be approached - I have a contact who could put it to their members to possibly assist ... but, as stated already; only with Nella's approval. I shall write to her ...

Good to see Elfyn Evans making such an impact on the early stages of the 2020 Monte Carlo Rally.
OK, he has a WRC win under his belt already, but if he landed a win in the Monte Carlo Rally this would surely represent the greatest Welsh motorsport achievement since Tom and his RoC win.
Here's hoping.

Looking forward to Darren and Kev's book about Tom. Should be a good accompaniment to The Lost Generation book.

So Elfyn went on to do it next time out.
Just a gentle pause for thought tonight on the passing of another year...
