Now on BBs near you: Kismet - The Return. Back by popular demand. Posted Image

OK, so in reality it was more like two people wondering why the game results were taking their sweet ****ing time, but I'm here anyway. And I do have the results. I may even post them if you're nice. :p

And even if you're not, here are the correct answers for Brazil:

F1 Pools 2006: Round 18 (Brazil)

Qualifying duels: Result	Score

1 Renault – Ferrari X 1,41

2	McLaren – Honda X 1,18

3	BMW – Toyota 2 1,91

4	Red Bull – Williams 2 1,77

5	Toro Rosso - Midland 1 1,50

6	Super Aguri – Midland X 1,59

Race duels:

7 Renault – Ferrari X 1,64

8	McLaren – Honda X 1,23

9	BMW – Toyota 1 1,64

10	Red Bull – Williams 1 1,86

11	Toro Rosso - Midland 1 1,50

12	Super Aguri – Midland X 1,27

 18,50 in total
Hmm, my devilishly original and clever 12-times-X attempt doesn't look too hot right now. Luckily I'm buried so deep in midfield that it probably doesn't make a difference anyway... Posted Image

Results:

And I'm half-right! This is one more race where I'm not exactly dominating - big surprise there. Then again, this is also one more rather difficult round as the best of us barely scrape together 10 points while there were no fewer than 18.5 to be had. So, who are these 'best'?
Unfortunately, my smilies don't do trumpets so, instead of a fanfare, here's a harp solo: Posted Image

*the harp equivalent of 'ta-dah!'*

The best - they're reigning two-time champion dnbn who rediscovers his winning form in just the right time, an1res who makes a race of it and Apex who's a close third. Congrats, guys! Since it's Brazil, imagine the pom pom girls are donning teeny tiny string bikinis.

I reckon it's possible, maybe even probable, that there are bikini smilies somewhere but I'd feel like a bit of a weirdo googling for one so I won't.

And the answer is a resounding YES!

Ladies and gentlemen (if there are any), we seem to have a schumacheresque (as in Michael) natural phenomenon amongst us. dnbn, having dropped all the - admittedly rather short - way back to 7th after Japan, rises from the ashes like a true phoenix, breezes past the entire lead group in one swift, perfectly timed move and wins the F1 Pools Championship for the third consecutive year. I don't know how he does it, but damn he's good! Congrats!

Overall, this was a ridiculously closely fought championship as the entire top 10 was within 3.76 points of each other. That's the equivalent of 2 or 3 correct answers. The closest of the close-but-not-quite bunch was scheivlak who ends up a meagre 0.23 points short of dethroning the champ. Alas, it was not to be but the runner-up position is his. Congrats! The third place goes to D82. Posted Image

Thanks kismet and all the competitors!!!

This one was tough. I had a slump and needed to do my best in Brazil. It helped that Saturday activity was in midday for me.

Well done dbdn!

It looks like I'll have to start my late run next year a little more than 4 races from the end :)

Thanks for the game kismet and congratulations dnbn

Personally I did pretty well, lots of podiums and even a win. Although I finished only ninth, it was a close competition and I hope all the best for the competitors for next season.
