Enjoy your solitude, Keir.

Emerson Fittipaldi doing hot laps in Dennys M23 was something to see , Phil Maugers boys( including period team mechanic John Stenson) were joking about fitting headlamps, they couldnt keep him out of it.

On the TV broadcast they had a short interview with Chris Amon just before qualifying. I can't remember what was actually said, probably something to do with it being three in the morning here at the time

Am I correct in guessing that Taupo is a historic race meeting in New Zealand?

Fittipaldi and the M23 were at Taupo for the concurrent announcement of the Bruce McLaren movie (see other thread) as were Jack Brabham and his 1959 championship-winning Cooper-Climax
