Fair enough, surely? Dan Gurney is 75 years of age.
I liked Mansell being 10 places ahead of Prost, didn't exactly fill me with confidence about the rest of the list.

I think this is a Racing Comments thread, not one we should be dignifying by giving it house room in TNF.

"I Did It My Way" by J. Villenneuve...
Nope, that was retired after Alan Kulwicki truly did it his way.

Actually, I downloaded the single he released recently. Quite like it, surprisingly

No, that was purely allegorical...
I read that Kulwicki played Talking Heads and The Roches at his shop.
Most of the mid-70's attempt by NASCAR drivers for the "NASCAR Goes Country" LP would likely find the list, especially Buddy Baker's "Butterbeans".
I'm still waiting for the 100 greatest moments from 100 greatest moments lists.

But isn't it one's personal feelings that add eloquence to their argument? It's the sort of personal touch, the anecdotes from first hand, that would have me argue for continuance of this type of thread... I might be a bit impressionable perhaps, but to have some of the more learned folk here describing some of their favourite mental snapshots paints a picture for those of us who didn't get to see it for themselves... and "this type of thread" for mine, is a great excuse for trotting some of the great stories again!Originally posted by David M. Drivers are like favorite songs...how do you set aside personal feelings, particularly if you saw the drivers drive and the singers sing the song?
Anyway, to use the singer/song comparison, as a fan of AC/DC (apologies for my lack of culture, gents), a debate on the respective greatness of either Bon Scott or Brian Johnson is merely an excuse for me to listen to Powerage and Back In Black back-to-back with much volume again...
