Rumors exist that Alfa plans to make a race version of their 8C Competitizione and race it at LeMans in 2008 or 2009 in one of the GT classes...

All three infos have founs some support recently, even if not all 100%:

- Fiat involved in rally with the Grande Punto S2000, and thinking of an entry of the new Bravo in next year's WTCC (just an hypothesis for now)

- Alfa or Fiat sponsoring motorbike racing, namely Valentino Rossi (a gossip, should be a Lapo Elkann's idea, not confirmed by CEA)

- Alfa preparing a 8C for LM 2008 (still far away...)

This story has been in the newspapers downunder, mainly due to FIAT attempting to re - establish themselves in our marketplace ??
