I am trying to find pictures of the Lola T70 Spyder, chassis SL71/35, owned at the time by John Mecom and driven by AJ Foyt in 1966 at Riverside and Nassau.

The car was light blue, Riverside starting number 83(??)

Who can help me???

Did this car race at Sebring? I seem to recall Mecom in a blue T-70 there back in the day, I might even have a photo or two of it around here. I'll check to see what I can find.

Well, I found Mecom entered in the '65 Sebring program in a Lola - Ford (289 c.i.) #22. No idea if this is the car you're interested in but it's the one I was thinking of. John Cannon and Jack Saunders were the drivers. The photo(s) are still eluding me.

I scanned this from an old b&w print - not bad for 40+ years! The guy behind the wall must be Jack Saunders, he's surely not John Cannon. I knew John back in the day a little and that's not him. You've got to love the paper clip rollbar - what were they thinking?

The other pics are not of this car;don't forget John mecom had quite a few T70's.
