This game will run for each round of the F1 season.
Each player starts the season with 100 points.
To play, you must bet at least 50 points in each round on a driver/drivers to achieve a certain feat in the race: win, podium or score in the points. A maximum of 6 bets may be placed for any one race.
The odds for each driver will be posted well in advance of the race, and entries accepted from that time until the start of Friday practice.
After each race, the points won will be added to the player's total.
For all subsequent rounds, an extra 100 points will be credited to a player's score.
Example: player starts with 100 points.
Bets placed:
20 on Raikkonen to win (at odds of 3.5),
15 on Kovalainen to be on the podium (at odds of 3.8),
30 on Coulthard to be in the points (at odds of 6.0).
35 not bet.
Should Raikkonen win, the player would win (20 x 3.5) = 70 for their 20 stake, and so on.
If all three predictions here were correct, the player's new score would be:
35 (unbet) + 70 (Raik) + 57 (Kov) + 180 (Coult) = 342 points.
This carries over to the next race, and 100 points added (to ensure that a player wiping out will be able to continue!). The score coming into the next race would be 442, and the player could then risk any amount from 50 (the minimum bet per round) to their entire total.
At the end of the season, the highest points total will win the competition.
