------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race. Also remember that it's the driver's performance that should be rated, not the car's.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes according to these rules:

* You can give a driver either three, two or one point. (Or zero, which is default.)

* You can distribute no more than ten points (but less if you want to).

* You need to vote for at least two drivers.

If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the ignore list for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer). Motivating your own and politely discussing other peoples votes is fine, but ridiculing other people's votes will get you ignored. Posts should be along the lines of:

...3 points: the driver/s you think did the best job during the weekend
...2 points: the next best ones
...1 point: the ones after that

Make it clear which driver you mean. Votes that are too unspecific will be ignored.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then in reversed race result order.

Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship ignore list can still participate in Rate the race.

Heidfeld 3 (that pass! )
Massa 2
Hamilton 2
Coulthard 2
Trulli 1

Quality 6
Satisfaction 9

Heidfeld's excellent pass, a move which began at Turn 1 and culminated with a stunning overtake around the outside of the World Champion, was easily the highlight at elevated the race from relative mediocrity.

On the other hand, the perfect result for the world championship (terrible as it is to be talking about it at this stage), as three drivers are level on points at the top, with a fourth actually winning the race. If BMW come to Spain as strong as the Mclarens, raise it to a 10.

Oh. boy, this is a weekend I will have to be unfair. So many drivers worth a mention, 15 points would not be enough. Bahrain again showed a great race, way superior to the previous week one: full of action, daring moves, even a safety car. But let's try:

2 point gang: Sure, the car was fine: his teammate almost got to q2, too, but this doesn't change the fact that Anthony Davidson drove wonderfully the whole weekend. Great qualify, better race, with a car with more fuel than any other on grid. Well done, top efford by Super Aguri. The same efford we saw on veteran David Coulthard. Next to last on qualify, fought for positions, get to 7th position. A Cubhead we hardly saw even on his Mac days. Next, in a weekend of lots of pressure from Itanlian media and fans, Felipe Massa did pole, fastest lap and won the race. Let's remember that in the 3 previous years the winner of Bahrain took the c'ship. And finally, the man of the race, driving this year like he never drove before: Nick Heidfeld. It's not impossible to imagine a victory of the german in certain circuits.

1 point people: What else has to be said about Lewis Hamilton? Rookie, one of the leaders of c'ship, same number of points of his bichamp teammate. And finally, Jarno Trulli Did the impossible on a limited car.

Quality the highest point of the season so far. 8.

Satisfaction Coulthard and Davidson deserved points. So, a 7.

Heidfeld 3 (Great pace, nice overtake on Alonso)
Coulthard 2 (one off for bad qualifying, a perfect race while it lasted)
Massa 2 (pole, start, race pace, splendid - didn't vansih into the distance thou)
Hamilton 2 (good solid work)
Trulli 1

And there's a wide variety of ok drives (Räikkönen etc) and some below their normal level (Alonso etc) but since there's no point in giving zeros and not allowed to give minus points I leave it to this.

Quality 6
Satisfaction 8 (good for WDC table. Close season coming up)

Couldn't really get too excited about the race, after the first pitstop it seemed pretty much decided. Alonso and Raikkonen played no part, a little bit boring all-in-all.
