------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race. Also remember that it's the driver's performance that should be rated, not the car's.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes according to these rules:

* You can give a driver either three, two or one point. (Or zero, which is default.)

* You can distribute no more than ten points (but less if you want to).

* You need to vote for at least two drivers.

If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the ignore list for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer). Motivating your own and politely discussing other peoples votes is fine, but ridiculing other people's votes will get you ignored. Posts should be along the lines of:

...3 points: the driver/s you think did the best job during the weekend
...2 points: the next best ones
...1 point: the ones after that

Make it clear which driver you mean. Votes that are too unspecific will be ignored.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then in reversed race result order.

Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship ignore list can still participate in Rate the race.

2007 ratings:

GP Quality Satisfaction

Australia 5.07 6.88

Malaysia	5.43 5.55

Massa - 3 points. A perfect weekend. (But I'd have liked to see what Räikkönen could've done)
DC - 2 points. Great driving all weekend, and drove round the problem of losing third gear in the race.
Hamilton - 2 points. Another fabolous GP-weekend.
Kubica - 1 point. Finally a weekend close to problem-free and bang he scores.
Rosberg - 1 point. Points again with a very impressive race-drive.
Kovalainen - 1 point. Very good!

I would've given a point for Kubica too, but there's a limit of 10 points and I'm not completely convinced he was going to beat his team-mate.

Lots of good performances, but IMO none stood out as exceptional. Still, for Massa continuing his dominant recent form, and Kubica keeping Nick's customary 4th place warm for him.

Quality - 4
Satisfaction - 2 (robbed of Alonso and Raikkonen fighting for the the higher placings by various incidents)

Ok, lots of odd happenings. Fire, loose nuts, teammates colliding, Super Aguri on points. No overtaking, but one can't call this weekend "uneventefull".
On with the points:

3 points to Coming from nowhere, Felipe Massa grabbed yet another pole, when McLaren pitcrew was already celebrating. Sunday, he boldly defended his position when needed, and was flawless to secure another hat trick. Two in a row, now.

2 points This is starting to get repetitive, so... insert praise for obvious reasons here, hard fact about other rookie record taken goes here, obvious fact about his performance against his teammate goes here: Lewis Hamilton. Needless to say anything else. Also two points and a great result for Takuma Sato. It's a nightmare to the Official Honda team, and for us of the Place the Points game, but well done, Taku!!

1 point gang Spain was a great race for two young talents to slow down the critics with solid performances. Both Heikki Kovalainem and Robert Kubica shined the whole weekend. And, in the other end of the age spectrum, grampa David Coulthard shows that, lucky us f1 fans, he still got plenty of road ahead.

Too bad there's no place for Rosberg, so let's hear it for Rosberg  One also has to praise Alonso and Raikkonen for the great saturday performances.

Quality: Lot's of off-track action, but I'd like a bit more of on-track fun. 6
Satisfaction: I'd like to see Heidfeld on podium, but 9

There was plenty of good performances so I feel the ten point restriction ... well, restrictive.

Quality: 6 (some action, but wrong kind of action merely)
Satisfaction: 6 (I would have liked Ferrari 1-2)
